Counting – Digital abacus (Code: PM77)

The classic “counter” is now in a new and attractive form: digital. And this is not all: it’s also multimedia and interactive!

All of us used sticks and counters in our childhood. They helped us learn how to count. We understood what 4 and 5 and 8 and 10 mean…and also “dozens”…

All of us had a similar object: some of them had small balls; others had little birds, others…

Even if it seems to be an old and rudimentary method, the psychological books plead in favor of this instrument for the first graders as it helps them start to understand the concept of numbers by using actual objects.

But what if our children had a digital counter, an interactive one, with sounds, animations and that are able to automatically verify the work of the child and also give him prizes?!

Also, the kid can choose what kind of counter he wants:
  • with cars
  • with butterflies
  • with PitiClic headsc
  • with ladybugs
  • with penguins
  • with fishes, sea horses or other figurines.

Multiple ways of usage:

  • study mode (simple counting): the child only moves the objects and the counter tells him how many he has moved (counted)
  • exercise mode: the child gets and exercise (addition, subtraction), he completes it with the help of the counter and the counter checks the result! Once in a while it gives him surprise rewards.
In the “practice” mode we can choose 3 levels of difficulty: - - "feather" – additions and subtractions, without crossing order, up to 10, with 0, 1 and 2 units - "ostrich" – additions and subtractions, without crossing order, up to 30, with 0, 1,2,3,4 and 5 units - "elephant" – additions and subtractions, with crossing order, up to 100, with 0, 1,2,3,4 and 5 units

We also offer a customized work mode where you can choose from the below variables as you wish:

  • additions or additions and subtractions
  • with 0, 1 and 2 units or more
  • up to 10, 20, 30, 50 or 100
  • with or without crossing order or only with dozens


INSTRUCTIONS:

You need to choose the model of counter (with objects half colored, in 2 colors, on the diagonal, vertical, the same color after each row or one new color after each row).

Next, you have to choose the model of the parts. We have 10 models, each one in 4 colors but at the beginning of the game you can only use 3 of them in 2 colors. The other models of parts and colors are to be won during the game.

If you don’t choose any level but press Start you will enter the simple module.

Otherwise, you have to pick between one of the 4 modules described above.

After you choose the level, press start. You’ll now enter the counter module with exercises that reflect the selected criteria. The child has to solve the exercise by dragging the required amount of parts in the right side of the screen, in the area where the bar is red.

The number of parts dragged across the screen needs to match the result of the operation.After the child is convinced the number of parts he dragged is correct he has to press “verify”.

If the answer is correct he will receive 10 points. With every 50 points he wins he will get a surprise gift: 100 points, other models of parts or colors (they will become available for the game).

All these wonderful features can be a part of your child’s tab or of your phone. Any time he is in the mood to do some maths or any time he needs to see the result of an exercise he can use this app. At home, in the car, in the train, airplane, at school or in any other place the counter (abacus) comes in handy.

Colaborare PitiClic si TVR2

Infomedia Pro vă aduce la cunoştinţă lansarea în data de 02 Martie 2014 a concursului educaţional PitiClic în cadrul emisiunii “În curtea bunicilor” difuzată săptămânal duminica de la ora 10:10 la TVR2, într-un nou sezon plin de farmec si de aventuri, cu multe surprize pregătite de către producători.

Alături de Bunica (Alexandrina Halic) şi Bunicul (Cristian Mitescu) – actori minunaţi care ne-au încântat şi ne încântă prin harul lor - PitiClic va modera un concurs educativ numit simplu „Concursul PitiClic”, pentru copii de la 6 la 11 ani.

Concursul se desfăşoară între 2 echipe de câte 3 copii (echipa Bunicului şi echipa Bunicii) şi are trei probe pe care aceştia trebuie să le traverseze cu succes. Cele 3 probe ale concursului sunt diferite de la o ediţie la alta, dar au un singur numitor comun: distracţia. Ele pot fi probe digitale ce vor fi rezolvate pe calculator, tabletă sau cu ajutorul device-ului „Covoraşul PitiClic” sau pot fi probe de manualitate cu utilizarea altor produse educaţionale marca PitiClic.

Acest concurs este o nouă activitate din cele realizate de către Infomedia Pro pentru promovarea metodelor de învăţare moderne bazate pe utilizarea calculatorului şi a device-urilor mobile, pentru integrarea utilizării software-ului educaţional în procesul de învăţare al copiilor cu vârste între 6-11 ani.

LEARNING GEOMETRY THROUGH MIMESIS AND DIGITAL CONSTRUCT

The theme proposed by us is useful to teachers and students for mathematics in the compulsory school cycle. The issues faced by school teachers/parents are the difficulty with which students read and understand the lessons/examples/synthesis in order to assimilate technical terms. The echoic and iconic memory facilitates the learning of the specific curriculum of linear, spatial and analytical geometry by the students using digital platform designed by us; it facilitates the acquiring of the theoretical elements of applied geometry by encoding-decoding, so that the teacher's role becomes the one of the advisor and not only a person who transmits the information. The utility of the program extends from mainstream schools to special schools.
